Small Business Leaders in San Diego Call for Fair STR Regulations
Small business leaders across San Diego’s neighborhoods joined together to call for fair and reasonable short term rental regulations, urging San Diego residents to sign petitions to qualify a referendum. Last year, local economist Alan Nevin found that the overall economic impact of short-term rentals to San Diego was $481.8 million – important revenue for small businesses that help to keep the doors open.
Small business owners are committed to finding fair and reasonable solutions that work for everyone when it comes to short term rentals, but the recent law passed by City Council will ban most short-term rentals, hurting the San Diego small business community. As the Labor Day weekend nears, small business leaders will talk about the impact short term rentals have on their ability to stay open and continue operating.
