Consider hosting wildfire evacuees in need of temporary housing
Airbnb has been working with local authorities, non-profit partners, and the host community to support those in need as several wildfires rage throughout California. Our thoughts are with the communities affected as well as those who will be deployed as part of the response efforts.
Given the magnitude of these fires displacing thousands of community members close to San Diego, we’re reaching out to invite you to join Open Homes, a program that enables you to share your extra space with evacuees in need of temporary housing at no cost.
There is a need for hosts who can accommodate evacuees and first responders for any length of time between now and November 28. If you can help, you’ll be protected under Airbnb’s Host Guarantee, Host Protection Insurance, and you’ll get a chance to review booking requests before accepting any guests. As always, you’ll also have access to Airbnb’s 24/7 customer support.
